For 6 weeks, I’ll be your super cool Copy Professor (*I may even wear a blazer*).

**I’ll guide you through writing the copy for your online show without spending all semester in the library (*aka your home or office*) at 3 a.m.**

(More time for the stuff in college that counts - like the toga parties, mixers, and choir, ya’ know?)

Get Those Guests

Week 1

You can’t have an online show without experts to interview! Focus here on capturing attention quickly and effectively with your lead gens. Create the structure and get the strategies to make your letter super specific using a simple 5-minute formula.

By the end of the week:

Lead gens so good The Queen may contact you for a spot.

Video Vixens

Week 2

Focus here on your video opt-in script. The key questions to ask and words to write so you sound like you. [Brag Alert] I have an MFA in Acting from Harvard meaning you get a copy/on-camera technique combo to create a video that sizzles and sells.

By the end of the week:

Your opt-in video will be ready for her Beyoncé close-up. (You may even need to get a wind machine!)

Promo With Pizazz

Week 3

Focus here on creating an expert promo pack (solo and social media) with copy that ain’t a snooze fest. Special attention to highlighting what makes this online show unique and why your experts can’t wait to spread the word.

By the end of the week:

Promo packets worthy of Olympic Gold!

All Aboard The Onboarding Train

Week 4

Focus here on keeping your audience engaged before the online show starts. (Often overlooked and super crucial!). 3 solid emails to make sure your audience knows exactly what to expect.

By the end of the week:

Onboarding emails better than any opening act!

The Daily Dose

Week 5

Focus here is a solid structure to get dailies written and sent out. With 21+ to write, it’s important to have a solid system to actually get them done (without you needing a spa vacation immediately after. But if you do go, bring me, k?)

By the end of the week:

21+ dailies hitting the virtual streets (headache free!)

Group Study Hall

Week 6

This is your chance to get caught up on everything we’ve worked on so you leave the course feeling accomplished + supported. Focus here on looking at where you need more focus, answering all questions and getting you prepared for what’s next for your business.

By the end of the week:

All copy for your online show will be done (woohoo!).

Edits on All Work: yes, that’s right. You will submit all copy for review so you get tweaks, edits, and insights for every single step of your copy.

Exclusive Copy U! Facebook Group: nothing is official until it’s Facebook official, right? This is actually the most crucial part of our time together. Upload/link all documents for edits here. I will also be checking the group every day to personally answer your questions and roadblocks as you work on copy.

The Swipe Files - each class will feature my templates to follow making the process super smooth. PLUS, samples of everything we talk about so you can easily refer back and use these as a jumping point for every piece of copy you create, along with my favorite writing hacks.

1.Why devote this kind of time to copy for my online show?

Because copy is like water. You can’t run your online show without it!

You also want to sip and not guzzle.

If you have spent time and money to work within an incredible coaching system to guide you - then you need to make sure you have all the help in place to make sure it gets executed with ease and confidence.

One of the things that tend to happen is that coaches and creatives wait til they are Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton at the end of Twister (I will defend that movie until I die, by the way…

Great question! Chances are, you have that already.

So, you will more than likely show up with a title and tag. (I want you to get the most bang for your buck and not spend time focusing on an aspect you’ll already be getting PLENTY of feedback on.)

This course is meant to be a helper for work you are already doing in your program.

Now, this doesn’t mean you have to show up to the first class with a set in stone tagline and title. In fact, I will ask that you pop it into the group as part of your onboarding so we can take a peek as a group and answer any questions you may have on it

3.Will I actually become a better writer?

Dear Lord, you better!

Here’s my problem with lots of group programs…

They spend tons of time talking at you about writing, without giving you the brass tax stuff you actually need to WRITE and they don’t offer you EDITS.

Copy U! dives right into the writing so you get tweaks and edits as you go.
You will be on a super specific writing timeline with zero overwhelm while gently motivating you (and a few challenges, too).

4.What if I miss a class?

Did I go to every class in college? Ok, I did because I was a super nerd. BUT missing school is a part of life.

That’s why I’ll record every single group session and post in the Facebook Group so you can go back and listen.

All that I ask is that you post a comment or take away after listening so I know you did the work.

(Yeah, I’m *that* kind of teacher.)
